Minecraft’s Final Baby Mob Batch is a Cuteness Overload (And a Bittersweet Goodbye)
Minecraft’s final baby mob drop is here—and it’s so cute it might break your heart.
Five new additions—panda, Snifflet, baby Strider, Zoglin, and Hoglin—are confirmed for the spring 2026 update.
The blog post announcing these babies made it very clear that this would be the final set of baby mobs announced. As one player put it: “I’m just hoping it comes soon so I can stop daydreaming about filling my base with baby pandas.”
The panda’s new two-pixel eye design applies to all variations, a detail that’s sure to melt hearts in the Nether and Overworld alike.
With no specific release date yet, players are left grindy for a banger that’s already being called a bittersweet goodbye.

The final batch of baby mob designs is now trotting, toddling, and rolling into testing. As if the farm, mount, aquatic, wild, and hostile babies weren’t enough trouble, the baby hoglin, baby zoglin, baby strider, snifflet, and baby panda are now also here to steal the show in Java snapshot and Bedrock beta and preview.
