Zotac’s GPU Price Hikes and Order Cancellations Spark Outrage Amid Supply Chain Woes

Zotac GPU price increase and order cancellation controversy

Zotac’s sudden GPU price hikes and canceled orders are leaving PC gamers fuming — and the company’s ‘system error’ excuse isn’t cutting it.

Zotac reportedly raised MSRP by $200 or more across multiple GPU models, with some Reddit users reporting jumps of $500.

A user on r/buildapcsales noted: “Zotac store increased MSRP by $200 or more for all GPUs - $ (example $949 5070 Ti was $749 a week ago for old MSRP-$50 Microcenter sale).” This comes as users also report canceled GPU orders due to a ‘system error,’ a pattern previously seen with Corsair’s DDR5 RAM pricing mishap.

Corsair addressed its pricing error by offering 40% off coupons to affected customers. Zotac has not issued a similar resolution.

The timing aligns with broader GPU supply chain challenges, including a global memory chip shortage and Nvidia’s decision to end its OPP pricing-support program, which previously allowed AIB partners to sell GPUs at MSRP.
