Xiaomi 17 Series Coming to Europe Without Its Most Intriguing Pro Models

Xiaomi 17 series smartphones in various color options, excluding the Pro models with rear displays

Xiaomi is bringing its flagship 17 series to Europe—but the most visually striking models are staying home.

The Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra will launch in Europe on February 28, 2026, ahead of MWC 2026.

The standard Xiaomi 17 starts at €999 for 12GB/256GB, while the Xiaomi 17 Ultra begins at €1,499 for 16GB/512GB.

Both models offer distinct color options: the Xiaomi 17 in Black, Venture Green, Ice Blue, and Alpine Pink, and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in Black, White, and Starlit Green.

However, the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max models—featuring the brand’s signature rear-facing display—will not be available in Europe.

Xiaomi 17 Factide

This marks a continuation of Xiaomi’s pattern of withholding Pro-tier devices from the region, as seen with the Xiaomi 15 Pro’s absence, which was replaced by the globally launched Xiaomi 15T Pro powered by MediaTek.

The rear display has long been a differentiator for Xiaomi’s Pro models, enabling features like secondary notifications and interactive wallpapers.

Its exclusion from the European lineup suggests a strategic focus on cost and complexity for the region, though it leaves a gap in Xiaomi’s product hierarchy compared to its domestic and Asian markets.
