Square Enix Slaps PS5/PC with Cheats to Keep Up with the Switch 2 Squad

Square Enix will release a patch on January 22, 2026, for PS5 and PC versions of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, adding features like 'Streamlined Progression'—including HP/MP full, Limit gauge full, and a 9,999 damage toggle.

The update aligns cross-platform feature parity with Xbox and Switch 2 versions, which already include the same mechanics.

Director Naoki Hamaguchi explained:

'The way people enjoy content has become more flexible... options to tailor the experience based on the time they have.'

All three Final Fantasy 7 Remake parts are confirmed for Xbox and Switch 2 alongside PS5/PC.

The boosters are toggleable individually or as a set, though community speculation persists about potential impacts on PS5 trophy unlocks.
