Hyung-tae Kim of Stellar Blade is betting big on AI as South Korea’s game industry eyes global domination. The director said:

"AI is an essential tool for going up against large competitors like China on a global level."

He added that widespread AI use would "make everyone proficient in AI" and claimed one person could "perform the work of 100 people" with AI assistance.

South Korea’s gaming industry is shifting from MMOs to triple-A projects as China’s Black Myth: Wukong and Where Winds Meet emerge as rising global competitors. Kim’s comments highlight the region’s strategic pivot toward AI-driven development to maintain international relevance.
