Nioh 3's Steam Demo Proves Team Ninja Can Get It Right—For Once
Team Ninja’s PC port track record is a disaster. Nioh 3’s demo just proved them wrong.
Historically, Team Ninja’s PC ports—Rise of the Ronin, Nioh 2, and Wo Long—have launched with performance issues.
Nioh 3’s demo, however, runs ‘mostly smooth 60fps’ on a Ryzen 5 5600H/RTX 3060 6GB laptop at 1080p with FSR 3 enabled. The system requirements list a GTX 1060 6GB (minimum) and RTX 3060 Ti 8GB (recommended).
Open-world performance dips to ~44fps on ‘very low’ settings without frame generation. A Steam Deck OLED test confirmed the platform ‘definitely not playable.’

I'm pretty satisfied with the way it works on my aging game laptop.
This is the first time a Team Ninja title has offered a pre-release demo for a major release. The FSR 3 impact is clear: frame generation bridges performance gaps on mid-tier hardware.
