Nintendo Joy-Con 2 Pastels & February 2024's Hottest Game Launch

Nintendo announced Light Purple and Light Green Joy-Con 2 color variants for the Switch 2, marketing them as Lavender and Turquoise.

The official names contrast with the author’s descriptors, but the pastel palette aligns with the console’s design language. These colors launch February 12, 2024—the same day as Mario Tennis Fever.

Nintendo confirmed 15+ Switch 2 titles for 2024, including Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. A company statement read:

"Nintendo has a fairly busy year ahead for Switch 2."

The Joy-Con 2 rollout follows a pattern of iterative design updates. While the color names differ from the author’s Lavender/Turquoise labels, the release timeline remains unchanged. No price adjustments were announced for the new variants.
