Minecraft’s baby mobs are trading their giant heads for adorable identities—and your animal farms might never survive.
The 2026 update will replace the "massive heads" of baby mobs with unique pixelated models.
Chicks will no longer resemble oversized blocks but instead sport distinct yellow designs. Sandra Karlsson, the audio designer, said:
I wanted to capture the uniqueness of a kitten meow and a puppy yapping to let them have their 'own' personalities.
This redesign extends to all breedable overworld animals, including ocelots, rabbits, and wolves.
The changes align with the game’s 2026 release pattern, likely arriving in March if historical update cycles hold. No official name or date has been confirmed yet.
