Lovish Finally Hits Steam: A Single-Screen Platformer Worth the 3-Year Wait

Lovish's vibrant pixel art and randomized event scenes

LABS Works, creators of Astalon: Tears of the Earth, is finally releasing Lovish on Steam February 5, 2025.

The game reimagines the single-screen platformer genre with randomized 'event scenes'—100+ outcomes after each level—that mix combat, puzzles, and loot/boss encounters. A demo is available now, with 50+ levels promised.

Matt Kap, known for Castle in the Darkness, returns with his chunky high-contrast pixel art and soundtrack. Writer Shaun Prescott called Astalon 'better than all of them' when comparing 2021 metroidvanias like Axiom Verge 2.
