The 9mm-thick OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV represents a significant step forward in minimalist design compared to previous models.

While earlier Wallpaper TVs required external components that disrupted the seamless aesthetic, the Zero Connect Box now handles wireless 4K streaming within a 10-meter range. This eliminates visible cables but introduces a tradeoff: users must keep the box within close proximity to avoid signal dropouts.

LG claims the W6 offers improved brightness, color accuracy, and black levels, supported by Intertek’s 'reflection-free' certification. This subtle distinction positions the W6 as a potential upgrade for home theaters seeking reduced glare in bright environments.

The 165Hz refresh rate with AMD FreeSync Premium ensures smooth gaming and high-motion content, though the absence of pricing details raises questions about accessibility for mainstream buyers.

Available in 77" and 83" sizes, the W6’s ultra-slim form factor continues LG’s push for wall-mounted invisibility. However, the 10-meter limitation of the Zero Connect Box and unannounced pricing create practical hurdles for adoption.

For now, the W6 remains a statement of design ambition rather than a fully realized solution.
