JBL's Open-Ear Reinvention: New Earbuds and Soundgear Clips Arrive in March 2026
Open-ear earbuds are finally mainstream—JBL's 2026 lineup turns 'why didn’t I think of that?' into a $350 question.
JBL announced US availability for its Sense Pro ($199.95), Sense Lite ($149.95), and Soundgear Clips ($149.95) in March 2026. The Sense Pro features 16.2mm drivers, spatial sound, hi-res audio, Bluetooth 6.0, 38-hour battery life (30 hours via case), wireless charging, and AI-powered JBL Voice Pickup Sensor.
The Sense Lite offers 32-hour battery life (24 hours via case), Bluetooth 5.4, IP54 rating, but lacks hi-res audio, spatial sound, and wireless charging. Soundgear Clips include bass boost, AI call enhancement, 32-hour battery life, and IP54 water/dust resistance.
OpenSound technology uses air conduction with phase cancellation for ambient awareness. Sense Pro supports Personi-Fi 3.0 equalizer tuning via in-app hearing test. All models have adjustable ear hooks, touch controls, and availability in multiple color options.
