Hytale Lets Non-Programmers Build Full Games—Here’s the CEO’s Side-Scroller Proof
A level designer with no coding skills just built a full 2D side-scroller in Hytale—proving Minecraft’s spiritual successor might be even more modder-friendly than its inspiration.
Simon Collins-Laflamme, Hypixel Studios CEO, shared a 2D side-scroller demo created by a non-programmer using Hytale’s creative tools. The demo was showcased in a YouTube video focusing on world-building, compared to MMO housing systems. Collins-Laflamme said:
"One of our level designers (not a programmer!) did a quick side-scroller for fun in Hytale!"
Machinima creation tools are also in development for the game, expanding its creative potential. The demo highlights how Hytale’s tools enable users to build complex games without coding knowledge.
