Highguard Adds 5v5 Raids—But Don’t Expect 3v3 to Fade Away

Highguard's 5v5 raid mode launched four days post-Steam release, with developers cautioning against performance drops and clarifying 3v3's continued role. The patch adds motion blur toggle and the Soul Well base.

Highguard just crammed two more players into its raids—and now it's a 'hectic' experiment.

The 5v5 raid mode rolled out four days after launch, per the Steam blog. Developers emphasized it's a separate playlist and not meant to replace 3’s.

Performance warnings followed: "Adding 4 more players... is not going to improve performance." The patch also includes a motion blur toggle and the new base 'Soul Well.'

Community reactions split. Some players found 3v3 not a raid due to small scale, while others praised its grindy 3v3 focus. The 5v5 mode now captures the 'chaos of 10s' without overhauling core gameplay.
