Gen Alpha Breaks Email-Based Game Hints (Again)
Gen Alpha breaks the email system, again.
Petter Malmehed, developer of the ARG After Hours, reports players are breaking the game’s email-based hint system.
The free Steam game requires players to alt-tab between applications and format emails correctly to solve puzzles involving zip codes, ISBN numbers, and Amazon book checks.
Malmehed:
"Turns out people don't know how to write emails anymore. The whole message is sent in the subject box..."
Players born after 2010 are using Discord/WhatsApp-style communication, leaving email bodies blank. The game’s multi-tasking mechanics now clash with modern texting habits.
