Fujifilm’s Instax Mini Evo Cinema: Nostalgia as a Filter, QR Codes as a Time Capsule
Fujifilm is turning instant cameras into time machines—literally. The new Instax Mini Evo Cinema lets you film 15-second clips, then print them as mini movie posters complete with QR codes.
The camera adds 15-second video capture to Fujifilm’s hybrid instant camera line.
Its design is inspired by the 1965 Fujica Single-8 8mm film camera. A dedicated Eras Dial applies decade-specific visual and audio effects from 1930 to 2020, including 8mm film grain and CRT TV aesthetics.
Video clips are stored on Fujifilm’s servers via the Instax app and remain accessible for two years.
Printed results feature QR codes linking to shared videos. Physical prints now eject from the top of the camera. The device launches in Japan on January 30, 2026, with global pricing and availability unannounced.
