Fallout Shelter Gets Real: A Post-Apocalyptic Reality Show for the Masses

Contestants in a post-apocalyptic setting for Amazon's Fallout Shelter reality show

Post-apocalyptic vaults are getting a new kind of radiation: reality TV contestants. Amazon Prime announced a Fallout Shelter reality series produced by Studio Lambert and Kilter Films, described as 'deeply social, psychological' with 'high-stakes' challenges inspired by the game's 'dark humor, retro-futurism, and post-apocalyptic survival.'

The series will 'blend large-scale challenges with deeply social, psychological, and narrative-driven gameplay,' according to the announcement. Casting is open until February 15, 2026, requiring applicants to meet US/UK travel eligibility, pass background checks, and complete physical and psychological evaluations.

Studio Lambert, known for its work on Squid Game, is among the production partners.
