Arc Raiders 2025’s extraction loop is tight—until you try to play it. The surprise hit’s inventory system has become a running joke among players, with design lead Virgil Watkins admitting the team is “super aware” of the complaints.

Watkins’ own admission about using the free loadout—I’ve literally done the same thing... I’m just gonna go free this time, guys, let’s just go and get in there and do stuff—has only deepened the irony.

The studio acknowledges the problem, calling saved loadouts a completely valuable thing while prioritizing getting you through the front end faster as a “great ambition too.”
